The ‘Materials and Tissue Engineering’ track focuses on new materials and tissues suitable for artificial organs/blood vessels and replacements for skin, bone and cartilage. You will learn which molecular and cellular processes play a major role and how to manipulate these processes. You will investigate how the body responds to ‘foreign’ materials and what to do to prevent rejection responses.
