The accountancy office is an independent correspondent firm for one of the big four international accountancy firms worldwide. There are about 7 accountants working at the office on St. Maarten. Every year they make use of interns specializing in financial accountancy.
Job description: The intern should be specialized/ have interest in the area of fiscal/tax auditing. Work areas include:
- Daily tax and audits.
- Periodic financial & management reports.
- Yearend tax reports.
- Financial advise management.
Requirements: Good communication skills, experience with Excel and other basic computer skills are a necessity. Students with previous internship experience in the area of tax/ audits or students with knowledge/experience in one or more of the following accounting software programs such as accpac/ quickbooks/ peachtree etc. Will receive preference.
